Dr. Wolfgang Straub is adjunct lecturer for IT law. He graduated from the University of Bern and was admitted to the bar in Bern. He subsequently obtained a doctorate in the field of intellectual property law at the University of Basel and completed a postgraduate degree (LL.M.) at the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva. Each spring semester, Dr. Wolfgang Straub teaches a class on "IT Law". The class offers an overview of the types, the legal status and the typical problem areas of contracts related to the procurement and operation of IT systems (purchase, development, system integration, etc.) as well as the procurement of IT services (cloud services, IT outsourcing, maintenance and support). It also provides a procedural approach that includes interest analysis, goal definition, risk and reward analysis, regulatory strategies, and quality control. The class is aimed at law students as well as students of information systems, computer science and business administration.
